AM Best Affirms A-, Excellent Financial Strength Rating of Farmers Insurance Company of Flemington

Flemington, NJ, September 12, 2023 — Farmers Insurance Company of Flemington announced today that its Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of A- Excellent has been affirmed by AM Best Rating Services, the world’s oldest and most authoritative insurance rating and information source. The company’s Issuer Credit Rating (ICR) of a-, Excellent was also affirmed and the outlook for both ratings is Stable.

“We are pleased we were able to maintain our A- Excellent rating in the face of a very challenging economy marked by record inflation and rising reinsurance costs,” said Scott St. Angel, President & CEO of Farmers. “As a Mutual company our only focus is protecting and serving the interests of our Policyholders. A Best’s Financial Strength Rating (FSR) is an independent opinion of an insurer’s financial strength and ability to meet its ongoing insurance policy and contract obligations. The AM Best rating is assigned after a comprehensive review and analysis of the company’s balance sheet, operating performance, business profile and enterprise risk management capabilities.

Be Cool, Support Tools for School!

The Annual United Way Tools for School Drive is Underway!

Farmers Insurance Company of Flemington is collecting school supplies and donations to support Tools for School and provide needed assistance to children in Hunterdon County that could not otherwise afford these essential supplies. Last year, the United Way of Hunterdon County helped 800+ students from pre-K through 12th grade by providing school supplies and backpacks to help them start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

In addition to donating backpacks and other supplies, we have set up a collection bin in our office at 23 Royal Road, Flemington where generous doners can drop off supplies M-F 8am – 4pm. We hope you will consider donating supplies to help the kids who need it most in our local community.

The Drew McLachlan Memorial Fund is hosting its 4^th annual golf outing fundraiser on August 21, 2023 at the Raritan Valley Country Club. Having donated over $100,000 to causes including: Overlook Cancer Center, Somerville High School Scholarships, Somerset County YMCA, and Somerville Recreation Programs, the Fund is dedicated to helping the talented thrive and the cancer fighters survive.

Farmers of Flemington to Sponsor 2023 Clinton Elks Music Fest

The Clinton Elks Lodge will be holding their 19^th Annual Music Fest on Saturday, June 10, 2023 to raise money for special needs children and Elks’ Camp Moore “Miracle on the Mountain,” a camp paid for by the NJ Elks Lodges. Farmers Insurance Company of Flemington is very pleased to sponsor this fun community event.

Camp Moore gives the children a sense of independence; all children get a one-on-one counselor for the week, who has special training in their disabilities. The counselors come from all over the world and spend their summers at the camp. The kids can enjoy the arts & crafts room, nature and game rooms, outdoor pool, picnics and many more activities.

Please come out and support the Elks while you enjoy a fun afternoon of great music, food and drink! We hope to see you there!!
